Job Description: Occupational Therapist

Overview:
Alexander and Associates Outpatient Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. Our therapists work with children of all ages to help them overcome developmental challenges and achieve their fullest potential. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify developmental, sensory, or motor skill challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the child’s unique needs and goals.
  • Use evidence-based practices to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and self-care abilities.
  • Collaborate with families to provide education, guidance, and home program recommendations.
  • Work alongside other professionals, including speech-language pathologists and physical therapists, to deliver a whole-child approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in
  • Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for working with children and their families.

Experience in pediatrics preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Job Description: Language Pathologist

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Alexander and Associates Outpatient Therapy, London, KY
Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN

Overview:
Alexander and Associates Outpatient Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. Our therapists work with children of all ages to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families in a supportive, family-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child’s unique needs and goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to improve speech sound production, language comprehension and expression, social communication, and fluency.
  • Provide therapy for voice disorders and address cognitive aspects of communication, such as attention, memory, and problem-solving.
  • Educate and collaborate with families to support carryover of therapy goals at home.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including occupational therapists and physical therapists, to provide a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kentucky.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for working with children and their families.
  • Experience in pediatrics preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
